As an owner of an XL staffie who is allergic to everything, finding food is extremely difficult as there are always something he is allergic to in the food. I wanted to try this out to see if it is any good for him, and his sensitivities. I am massively impressed with this food and will be continuing to use it and recommend it to others. My dog absolutely loves it and always leaves his bowl empty. His skin seems to be settled and he is like a bouncy puppy. The scent is not too overpowering which was something I was concerned about considering it is made of salmon. The only downside is that it does not have a seal at the top so you need to have a large storage container or you may find that the food will disapper more quickly (as I say, he loves it!).
We decided to try Bruno, our 3 year old labrador, out on Purina's Pro Plan for sensitive skin large dogs. As he's suffered from reactions on his belly in the past.
After about a week of being on it, we've noticed a good improvement on the texture and shine of the his coat.
His itching has subsided too, which is a massive bonus.
He thoroughly enjoys the food and we've had to look for ways to slow down how quickly he tries to eat it!
It's been nice to find a good alternative, with suitable attributes and ingredients at a reasonable price. Would thoroughly recommend.
My fussy Saluki/Whippet girl has been loving this food! She has very sensitive skin & has had none of the usual symptoms when changing from previous food. I have noticed that she seems to be full for longer & is no longer hoovering the whole bowl in seconds! Only problem with that is that the cat loves them too! I have also noticed that pooh has been less frequent which is always a bonus!
This dry dog food has really ticked all the boxes for me. My dog is a very fussy eater for start and switching her to any other food is usually a slow process. Perhaps it’s the salmon, but this quickly became a favourite for her. There’s been none of her usual skin irritations that she’s had when trying other dog food. It’s made with high quality ingredients which definitely adds to its appeal as a first choice for my dog’s health.
